About
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Diane Saarinen. I first entered the field of virtual assistance 20 years ago, when I became a transcriptionist. Over the years, my skills expanded to include marketing and publicity, and I ultimately began to assist authors in 2008.
My affinity for writers most likely stems from the fact that I am a writer myself. My work has appeared in numerous publications including Quiet Mountain: New Feminist Essays, Women’s eNews Daily, and Her Circle Ezine (where I served as Blog Producer.) I’ve also written for many Finnish-American newspapers and journals. A recent essay of mine appears in the anthology Working Women: Stories of Strife, Struggle and Survival (Sage Publications, February 2009) and my photojournalism has even landed on the home page of CNN.com.
I live in a quaint brownstone in a quirky New York neighborhood with my husband Peter and a 20-pound very nocturnal cat.
